Norfolk County Council launched a public consultation about our plans for a new Wymondham Recycling Centre, which is planned for land off the B1172 London Road, next to an existing National Highways depot and close to the A11.
This new centre will replace the current Wymondham Recycling Centre.
The new Wymondham Recycling Centre will have better access, with separate areas for the operating vehicles and the public. We are proposing a split level site so there will be no steps to access the bins.
We are investing £2.2m in a larger, modern site that does not need to close during the day for the site to be serviced.
We want you to tell us what you think of our site to help us refine the design before we submit a planning application in early 2023.
Our consultation is open until 12 December 2022. You can access it online here, or alternatively, you can respond in person at our consultation event on:
Wednesday 23 November between 3pm and 6:30pm
Spooner Row Village Hall, Station Road, Wymondham, NR18 9JR
Timeline for construction:
- Planning application submission in early 2023
- Planning application decision expected summer 2023
- Recycling centre construction commences in Autumn 2023
- Recycling centre opening Autumn 2024
Thank you and we look forward to hearing you views.
