New Community Seed Library

A new Community Seed Library was unveiled by the Mayor, Cllr Suzanne Nuri-Nixon and Deputy Mayor, Cllr Annette James, in Priory Gardens on Sunday 3rd December.

The Library was handmade by East Harling's Craig Jenkins, of One Man and His Wood, who attended the unveiling.  He very kindly donated it to the town.  The idea is that people can put their surplus seeds in it and take away other seed donations they can use.

Cllr James saw a similar Library Craig made for East Harling's community garden about two years ago.  "I was determined to get one for our town and I am so grateful to Craig for his generosity in donating it to us.  It is a thing of handmade beauty that will hopefully be well used and enjoyed for years to come."

Cllr Lucy Nixon organised the Library's collection and delivery and the WTC grounds team installed it.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Wymondham in Bloom supporter and Priory Garden's volunteer gardener Janis Raynsford and Nicola Maunders of Greening Wymondham in recognition of their hard work and support for similar projects around the town.
