NOTICE OF BY-ELECTION

ELECTION OF A TOWN COUNCILLOR

For the
WYMONDHAM TOWN COUNCIL – CENTRAL WARD

1. An election is to be held for ONE TOWN COUNCILLOR for the WYMONDHAM
TOWN COUNCIL – CENTRAL WARD

2. Nomination papers can be obtained from the office of the Returning Officer (RO),
South Norfolk Council, Horizon Business Centre, Peachman Way, Broadland
Business Park, Norwich, NR7 0WF, during the times stated below..

3. Nomination papers must be delivered in person to the RO at South Norfolk Council,
Horizon Business Centre, Peachman Way, Broadland Business Park, Norwich,
NR7 0WF between the hours of 10am and 4pm on any working day from 31 May
but no later than 4pm on Friday 7 June 2024. It is advisable to book an
appointment to submit your nomination. Appointments can be arranged by email:
elections@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk or telephone 01603 430645.

4. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 4 July 2024.

5. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO)
(address below) by 12 midnight on Tuesday 18 June 2024. Applications can be

6. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the ERO at
by 5pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024 if they are to be effective for this election.

7. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s document
valid for this election must reach the relevant ERO by 5pm on Wednesday, 26

8. Applications for a proxy vote at this election must reach the ERO by 5pm on

9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election, must reach the ERO by
5pm on Thursday 4 July 2024. Note: there are specific criteria that apply to
emergency proxy applications.
